Capilano University’s IDEA School of Design offers a 4-year Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication degree and a 2-year Interaction Design diploma.

Our curriculum is rigorous and industry-focused, which is why we are renowned for the quality and industry readiness of our graduates.

Our goal is to prepare students for a creative career doing what they love, in areas such as graphic design, illustration, character design, branding, art direction, user interface or user experience design, editorial design, digital media, storyboard art, environmental design, website and application design, and more.

Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication

In the Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication, 
we make it our business to keep up with industry trends and technological innovations while remaining responsive to cultural advancements. Students can specialize in branding, illustration, or interactive design.

The Interaction Design diploma at Capilano University prepares students for an exciting career in technology and opens doors to creative innovation. Students can specialize in user experience design and user interface design. Successful graduates are work-ready, or can ladder into the Bachelor of Design.
