Cory’s first illustration was published in 1985 in the Winnipeg Sun when he was seven years old. He would later get an education in fine art and animation, and direct a commercial before enrolling in the IDEA program. While Cory’s art and illustration has a visceral energy to it, he strives for a simple, clean aesthetic in his design.
